Privacy Policy

Crosscast ("the app", "we") is a companion application for live streamers that connects to your own social and streaming accounts to display live data and to publish content that you explicitly initiate. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

What we access

Account authorization: When you connect a platform (e.g. YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Rumble), you grant Crosscast access via that platform's official OAuth flow. We receive and store the resulting access and refresh tokens.
Channel and stream data: Public-facing data about your own channel — such as viewer counts, follower / subscriber / tip events, and chat messages — used to power on-screen overlays and alerts.
Content you choose to publish: Video clips and the captions / titles you provide, which are uploaded to the accounts you select.

How we use it

To display your live stream data in overlays, alerts, and chat.
To publish content to your own connected accounts only when you explicitly request it (for example, cross-posting a clip you upload). For TikTok, this uses the Content Posting API (video.upload) to send the clip to your own TikTok inbox, and Login Kit (user.info.basic) to identify the connected account.

How it is stored

Access tokens and configuration are stored locally on your own device, encrypted to your operating-system user account. Crosscast does not run a central server that holds your credentials, and your tokens are not transmitted to us.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
We do not access other users' private data.
We do not post or publish anything without an explicit action from you.

Revoking access

You can disconnect any platform from within Crosscast at any time, and you can also revoke the app's access from the platform's own security / connected-apps settings (e.g. your TikTok, Facebook, or Google account settings). Doing so invalidates the stored tokens.
